Tools III “Mrs. Smith's mother has a past history of heart attack treated by stenting and with beta blockers, but she denies complications of angina or congestive heart failure.” Attributes selected from MetaMap: Conceptual entity Family group Finding Disease Functional concept Therapeutic procedure Pharmacologic substance Activity Pathological function Sign or symptom Disease Commentary: I chose “Mrs.” to be a “Conceptual Entity” because the other options (Intellectual Product, Diagnostic Procedure, Clinical Attribute) were very irrelevant and did not describe the concept. I chose to include “Smith” as a “Professional Group” although it is not an accurate representation of what “Smith” is. It is merely a family name that does not define a profession/occupation. Regarding “Heart Attack” I was given [Disease or Syndrome]. Upon research I feel it to be a disease as opposed to a syndrome.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
