Research ArticleThe article chosen for the quantitative literature review is entitled, “Chlorhexidine Bathing and Health Care-Associated Infections: A randomized control trial.” The study design is a pragmatic cluster-randomized control trial. It is a cross-over study of 9,340 patients. These patients were admitted to adult intensive care units. The intensive care units were a neurosurgicalintensive care, a surgical intensive care, a trauma intensive care, a cardiovascular intensive care, and a medical intensive care (Noto, Domenico, Byrne, Talbot, Rice, Bernard, & Wheeler, 2015).
