What I found most interesting about your response is your comment on the Age Discrimination policies and how companies are providing HR with this information to ensure everyone understands regardless of their age they will be given the same opportunities. Everyone being treated fairly keeps the morale elevated. According to Lawrence & Weber (2017), diversity is defined as “the variation in the characteristics that distinguish people from one another, such as age, ethnicity, gender, mental or physical abilities, race, and sexual orientation”. Managing a diverse workplace can be challenging due to people’s ignorance of lack of knowledge of the many cultural backgrounds that surround them. Business leaders ought to adhere to government policies that restrict them from behaving unethically. Laws and regulations require that businesses provide equal opportunity, and avoid discrimination and harassment (Lawrence and Weber, 2017) Diversity can create a nice working atmosphere as well as create competition among the team due to the uniqueness and different perspectives. “Most things in business comes down to how you treat people...every task has a people component” (Fischer, n.d.). Would you agree that, business leaders can integrate Biblical values by having ethical policies in place that will guide the employees with diverse cultures to act ethically?
