PERSONAL WORLDVIEW & BUSINESS ETHICS 2 STEP 1 To what extent should personal religious beliefs impact our decisions about business ethics My personal perspective on the extent of the impact of my personal beliefs towards my business, and other decisions I make is that I should be fully responsible for all actions I take as well as the things I say. Any actions I take should be a clear reflection of what I claim to believe in. To what extent do your personal religious (or non-religious) beliefs about life impact your sense of business ethics and personal decision-making? Again, my personal perspective concerning my beliefs should be majorly focused on the pillar of business ethics, and decision making. These elements ought to reflect my beliefs. Does it seem odd to connect every belief we have about life back to what we believe about God? There is nothing extraordinary with connecting my beliefs with life, because being aware who the creator of life is gives me the chance to integrate what I believe in my life. Article 1- “What is a worldview and why is it important to me?” Has your answers to either of the first two questions changed after reading article 1? My answer remains the same even after reading the article because I now have a better understanding about my perspective on the world. My worldview has been influenced by reading spiritual scriptures which helps me in my endeavors. I also have a better understanding on laws and regulations within society; although I have a better understanding of law and its history, my answer remains rigid.
PERSONAL WORLDVIEW & BUSINESS ETHICS 3 Do you believe in absolute truth? Is there more than one way/religion to understanding absolute truth about God and the meaning of life? I have a strong belief on absolute truth, as it is the only way to discovering the meaning of life. I feel that other beliefs could be a link to finding the truth, though their paths do not mean they will find absolute truth to knowing God and what life entails. A Biblical example would be Jesus and the young rich ruler. The ruler was aware of the law and was still interested in knowing how to have eternal life. Jesus told him for that to happen, he must give up all his wealth to the poor and follow him so that he can inherit eternal life. The young rich ruler refused to follow him and
