The Hobbit Theme Essay.In the story The Hobbit the general theme was that Bilbo Baggins was loyal to the dwarves. Bilbo showed loyalty throughout the book by not giving up and saving the dwarves. Bilbo showed this by saving the dwarves in hard conditions and risking his ownlife to saving them. Bilbo had to repeatedly save them to show that he was very loyal to them. One theme of the novel is that loyalty to a person’s friends can help save them fromdisaster.In the story The Hobbit Bilbo showed loyalty by saving the dwarves from the raged spiders and he risked getting himself killed. Bilbo had to fight the spiders and distract them and rescue his friends. “He had precious little time, he knew, before the spiders were disgusted and come back to their trees where the dwarves were hung. In the meanwhile he had to rescue them” (Bilbo Baggins). Bilbo fought the spiders and saved the dwarves and showed his loyalty through the process.
