Joo Kok Teh April 10, 2018 FOLK-F111 Professor: Jennie Gudner Assistant Instructor: Kelly Bosworth Concert Ethnography Paper First Nations Powwow – Native American Dance On April 7, 2018, I was getting ready to attend a free dance concert that took place at the Dunn Meadow, IU, Bloomington, Indiana. This event is about how native American share their heritage with the people through dance and song, and to celebrate the diversity of contemporary Native American tribal identity. As a person who has zero experience related to dance and have no further intention to dig deeper into this particular field, a lot of you might be wondering why I showed up in this place. Well, the answer is simple, the reason why I was there because this is a mandatory attendance as a part of this written assignment, and I glad that I was there to witnessing such an amazing performance.
