Assignment 1 MWF class U.S. House of Representatives DUE: October 5, 2007 The representation of the U.S. House of Representatives is based upon the population. In this assignment, I would like you to fill out this sheet with information regarding YOUR House of Representatives member. I want you to use the district of the state you currently hold residency in. If you are not a U.S. citizen, you are welcome to use the House member from the House District you live in when you are not at school. However, if you do not live in the U.S., I would prefer it if you use Lamar Smith, the House member who currently represents University of Texas or the representative who represents the physical place you live (i.e. where your house/apartment is located). If you are from a territory like Puerto Rico, you are welcome to use their delegation. You can locate the House of Representatives at: . Type in your zip code and it should tell you the name of your house member. You will probably need your full zip XXXXX + 0000 (9 numbers total). If you don’t know your full zip, the house website will direct you to which will allow you to find out your full zip code. If you have trouble locating information on bills your Congressperson has supported, look at This particular website will be the most useful:
