QUALITATIVE CRITIQUE 2 Qualitative Critique Purpose and Research Question Unfortunately, many individuals will experience unexplained chest pain throughout their lives, and subsequently never have it investigated. Because, “unexplained chest pain covers many possible complaints, and diagnosing a single cause for a patient’s pain is often described as difficult, as there are a number of possible factors that can contribute to the condition”. Moreover, many individuals do not seek treatment for what they feel is benign chest pain. However, coronary issues still are among the leading causes of death in adults. Moreover, unexplained chest pain has a higher morbidity rate. This study aims to not only determine the patients understanding on chest pain and how are patient needs met by health professionals during medical consultations. There have been a couples times where I was floated to the ER, and one of the most common complaints is chest pain. Usually, there is no evidence of any coronary complications.
