1. The three branches of government have a series checks and balances to “check” the power of one another. For example, the legislative power over the executive includes the following; Congress approves presidential nominations, control the budget, pass laws over the president's veto and can impeach or remove the president from office. On the other end, the president can veto laws passed by Congress. The president also nominates the judges in the Judicial branch while the Judicial Branch has the power to declare the president’s acts as unconstitutional. The Judicial Branch can also declare laws passed by Congress unconstitutional while Congress has the power to impeach or remove judges from office. 2. Sue and Sam can both be correct due to the fact that, in the 1930’s, the Supreme Court began to interpret The Commerce Clause more broadly. 3. The purpose of the Contract Clause is to prevent the government from unreasonably interfering with an existing contract. 4. The Contract Clause affects state regulations by preventing laws, that would “unreasonably interfere” with existing contracts, from being passed.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
