3M Taiwan: Product Innovation in the Subsidiary Should Chung proceed with the Acne Dressing Project? In my opinion, Chung should go ahead with the Acne Dressing Project. The two challenges identified in the case should be viewed as an opportunity. The first challenge is that the customers are accustomed to using the traditional acne-treatment methods. So, in this case, there is no existing competition for the Acne Dressing Project. It will be the first of its kind in the market. In fact, 3M will have a first mover advantage in the market as their product will be the first of its kind without any competition. Also, we know that nurses are the primary consumer of 3M's hydrocolloid dressings. This shows that nurses have a liking towards 3M's hydrocolloid dressings as the nurses cut it into small pieces and use it.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
