My Journal I enjoyed the first chapter of the learning in the 21 centuries. I learned a lot about myself and what I need to improve on. Like David I did not like to turn in my work for fear of judgment, but the older I got I learned, I need feedback to grow my mind. I like the chart they show in figure 1.1 The Brain-Mind Connection. Today I reflected on that a lot and how can I make this work for me, how can I filter in the right stuff. I felt the first part of the chapter was common sense, till I got further in the book, I noticed how it started to tie into the whole. For example, the history of learning and leading up to the now and future of learning. I like the way she describes the mind as everlasting and how people in the 20 th century understood this as well. But my favorite was the study on multitasking, I always thought that if you can do that you were the man. I know now to focus on one thing at a time

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
