L’Atalante Scene 1: the wedding walk -The bride is leaving the village (people behind her walking in lines of 2 which reminds me of a funeral representing the death of her life in the village and the beginning of a new life outside the village) -The people are all in black and as the couple leaves onto the boat, nobody waves goodbye or shows any reaction when Jean says goodbye. “Couldn’t she marry a local? She always had to do things differently. She’s had enough of the village” Scene 2: As Juliette awaits for Jean to come to bscl to their room to go to bed. She says ‘the same thing every night” making jene reply back by asking “are you she’s bored” She then requests to see Paris. She listens to the radio, she’s hear the radio announcer saying paris. As he continues talking about Paris she gets more intrigued and interested. They talk about the fashions of Paris and you see Juliette’s face light up. (describing paris helps to build juliette’s imagination more.) *She’s intrigued by exoticism but the closer she gets to it she realizes that she has
