StrengthsUninterruptable Power Supply (UPS)-The company uses a UPS system to ensure the continued function of servers, maintenance of server physical environment, and general network functionality in the event of a power outage. This not only protects the servers and their environment, but it also allows the company to continue operations in the event of an emergency or disaster.Site Interconnectivity -Aenergycontributes a great deal of its success at functioning as a lean company to their use of technology, allowing the two existing locations to function as if collocated. Seamless sharing of data and resources across the two different sites allows work flow to run smoothly. Using technology to create a fully interconnected infrastructure allows Aenergystaff to collaborate and, in the event of an emergency, creates a redundancy that allows all operations to be run from one location. Multiple Redundancies- Aenergy uses multiple redundancies to ensure the continued functioning of the system even if one site fails. A backup server initiates a daily backup of all
IT Strategic Solutions, MMT2, Task 13computers, servers and websites in the network. The two sites have identical infrastructures, creating a redundancy that ensures the company can still operate from one site if the other site is incapacitated. Redundant access points allow internal resources to be rerouted if the primary network path is compromised. UPS systems and generators supply a redundant power system. These redundancies help ensure that the network is supported, backed up and functional at all times, even if one location goes down. IT Department Staff with Strong Skillset- the IT department is filled with highly experienced, strongly knowledgeable staff, several of whom have worked with the company for many years. Combined the staff have over 70 years of experience. The knowledge of the IT team is broad, with each member possessing a specific skill, education or training that together allows them to support Aenergy in a comprehensive manner. The strength of the IT department has helped Aenergygrow to where it is today. Their high level of skill and experience means that IT functions for the company can run with high levels of efficiency and also means that they are able to address risks and changes quickly.
