Licensure: renewal of advanced practice certificates coincides with renewal
of RN licenses. Automatic renewal is possible.
Accreditation: the Board provides a list of approved programs for
accreditation in California.
Certification: licensure as RN is obligatory to be certified; only one
certification scenario for a nurse anesthetist.
Education: each graduate-level advanced specialty area has particular
requirements, namely, NA, NP, NMW, CNS, and PMH.
