LEADERSHIP STYLES 2Successful leadership requires both technical qualifications and trainings on matters regarding leadership and also the how the leadership styles of a manager or a top business leader are meshed with the organizational culture to bring a success of a business. Leadership styles are,therefore, important in ensuring a business success and saving it from any possible faltering of itsreputation. It is of paramount importance that every leader understands their go-to-leadership skills that they are comfortable with, as well as understand the other supplemental leadership skills that they can adopt under varied environmental conditions and circumstances so as to achieve a certain goal for the business. Personally, my default or go-to-leadership skills are collaboration, and my supplemental styles are a producer and a pilot. A collaboratorAs a collaborator, I make sure that I promote a team-work approach. I am always humbleand have the needs of others first. Therefore, as a team builder, I try to allocate duties to members based on their ability to excel in a given area. I, therefore give members duties in areas where they are likely to succeed. Any member’s success is shared with other team members as a sign of motivation. This helps me to attract talent and build it, as well as promote collaboration. This skill, however, has various blind spots. First of all, being a promoter of teamwork, it is very easy to fail to create a distinct leadership brand for myself(Lord & Hall, 2005).
