The three scientists that made a huge impact on their communities were Alfred Kinsey, Masters and Johnson, and Shere Hite. All three of these scientists took a different stand point on how they viewed sex. Each of the scientists had different obstacles that stood in their way of being great and proving that their research made a difference on an ample amount of individuals.The most interesting aspects of Kinsey’s work and life are his influences and respect he gained from his generation. Considering how conservative the forties and fifties were, Kinsey broke substantial boundaries. When introduced to Kinsey and his concepts of sexual experimentation and discovery, one would expect him to be shunned by the conservative society in which he worked and lived. Alfred Kinsey wasthe founding father of the sexual revolution. Kinsey was a scientist who interviewed white Americans on their sexual experiences. Kinsey’s sex research went beyond theory and interview to include observation of and participation in sexual activity, sometimes involving co-workers. During his research, Kinsey released two detailed books that focused on male and female sexual behavior. Both books were on best sellers, but the thought of speaking openly about sexual deviance during the McCarthyism era attracted some positive and negative attention to Kinsey. The media loved to perceive Kinsey as a pervert that didn’t know much about sex based of his
studies that were proven to be false. The media dissected Kinsey throughout that era,
