Operational and financial leaders in health care have the authority and vision to adopt information technology solutions to transform their business. While it is the job of the CIO and technology leaders to assure that the most efficient technologies are in place, it is the role of the entire leadership team to ensure that technology investments are optimized to advance the organization’s strategy.The concept of return on investment (ROI) is an important construct in viewing technological strategies. This week you are asked to work through the financial return on a technology investment by developing aproject pro forma. In this exercise you analyze both the capital and operational investments needed to sustain technology in an operation.
