INTERPERSONAL CONFLICT IN TELEVISION 2 Any given relationship starts off well, this is due to the fact that those involved in the relationship focus more so on similarities (Brown & Rogers, 1991). People in relationship love to see what it is they have in common, whether it be similar likes, dislikes, or personality traits, they expound on those. However, as the relationship progresses, the differences emerges (Bevan & Sole, 2014). There are things that occur in the duration of a relationship, and it is up to those in it to decide if they are going to let it break or make them. In Modern Family’s s8e22, Lilly’s parents, Cam and Mitch had received a letter from her principal. The letter stated that the principal felt as if Lilly should skip fifth grade and go straight to sixth grade. On the day that they received the letter, a school tour for the Middle school was already set. During this tour, Cam and Mitch were involved in an argument. Mitch felt that if
