Analyze the performance problems using the "Performance Diagnosis Model" in Exhibit 7.5. 1. According to text, job design is identifying tasks, duties, and the responsibilities of a job (pg. 132). With this knowledge, Hovey and Beard Company did not successfully assess a job design. Although the tasks and duties were made clear, the anticipated productivity from these tasks and duties were not in line with the working conditions. If the job design takes the employees needs into consideration and remove any obstacles keeping the employee from completing their tasks, Hovey and Beard Company did not make this happen.
