Use examples from the texts.1.In my opinion, Chicanos held on to their language and slang where other ethnic groups did not by influencing hip hop culture in more ways that just musically. Chicanos made low-riders prominent in Los Angeles and the way of dressing fashionable. DJ Kool Herc lost his accent because at the time of him moving to New York, being Jamaican was not cool yet. DJ Kool Herc was faced with prejudice and distaste towards his culture. My
