Six-year-old meCognitive DevelopmentPhysical DevelopmentSix-Year old meLanguage Development:At 6, I had a hard time pronouncing my "r's" I had to go to individual speech therapy classes. Learning to write:I was able to write my name and members of my families names and could write out the alphabet in uppercase and lower case and write common words Independent problem solving:at six I was very independent, I wanted to solve problems on my own and would Riding a bike/Swimming-I was exactly 6 years old when I learned how to ride a bike without training wheels. I also learned how to swim on my own. Growing: At 6 years old I was growing taller, this is when growth does begin to slow down a little bit and becomes more gradual. Learned to play basketball: At 6 I was on a basketball team, I learned how to bounce the ball, shoot a basket, and pass a ball.
Cognitive DevelopmentPhysical DevelopmentSixteen-year-old meOpinionated: At 16, I was standing up for causes and arguing with other people a lot. I was able to research topics and apply reason to them . College classes:At this age, I was taking advanced classes and could understand difficult science and math problems. Open-minded:I was very open to new ideas and could understand other peoples perspectives. Hormones and puberty:Still going through some body changes, acne and sexual development were happening during this time. Driving: I got my license at this age and had the hand eye coordination and motor skills to drive.
