Roman Civilization In 248 C.E., Romans celebrated their anniversary of the founding of their city and their way of life included many cultures and became the exemplar of power and wealth. The characteristics of Romans were practical and possessed virile moral sense, intellectual brilliance and their authority figures cultivated the virtue in Latin which they were serious , but were afraid by the Greek standards of imagination although they borrowed many cultural forms they still new how to govern. Rome was very prosperous, they valued the sanctity of family, divorce was unheard of , each family kept a undying fire a symbolic of the goddess Vest to ensure family continuity. Roman inventors created the advanced technological society, both warfare and construction to build empires which casted the longest shadow. In 509 B.C.E., the Roman aristocrats threw off their Etruscan overlords and founded a republic which reached the eastern Mediterranean and was divided into three principle periods: early, middle and late which became a world power.
