Being a Windows user my whole life, I’ve always thought that Windows would be the topoption. But as I learn more about different OS’s, I feel like it may not be the best option. So for this discussion, I’m going to side with Linux. One reason I’m siding with Linux is the Privileges given by both operating systems. When using Windows, users are given administrator access by default which gives them access to the entire system. By having full access, it allows viruses or hackers full access to the system if the breach that users account. With Linux, users typically don’t have these root privileges. This allows for less of the system to be compromised since the user doesn’t have full access to the system so only the areas the user has access to can become compromised.Another reason I would choose Linux over Windows is because of social engineering. Social engineering basically describes how viruses and worms can spread by convincing users to open attachments that are carrying worms and viruses. For example, a malicious email
