The last day to drop for 100% refund is May 12; last day to drop with a 'W' is June 16. Prerequisites Math 225, Calculus III, should be taken prior to or simultaneously with this class. Course Description (From the catalog) IEng/Math 381: Introduction to probability, discrete and continuous distributions, sampling distributions and central limit theorem, general principles for statistical inference. Tentative text sections include, but are not limited to: Chapters 1,2,3,4, Section 5.4,5.5, Section 7.2, Section 8.2 Large-Sample Tests only (p. 326 - p. 327), Section 8.3 - "Large-Sample Test" only (p. 334 - p. 336), Section 14.1 (omit pp. 622-623).
