I teach the course over two semesters rather than the usual one: one semester devoted to orchestral literature, and one devoted to solo and chamber music literature. Course codes: MUP 451 and 551. • Instruction of oboe pedagogy class. This is required of all undergraduate performance majors and all graduate students. It is a comprehensive survey of oboe techniques, reed making, and musicianship. Course codes: MUP 481 and 581. • Preparation and supervision of student degree recitals. Course codes: MUP 495, 496, 596, and 597. • Weekly coaching of chamber music for undergraduate and graduate students. Course codes: MUP 479 and 579. • Recruitment of new students and development of the highest-quality oboe studio possible. • Advisor to all MM and DMA students. • Teach a weekly oboe studio class for all oboe majors. • Perform with Ocotillo Winds, a faculty woodwind chamber music ensemble. • Perform with ASU Faculty Woodwind Quintet. • Organization and instruction of all woodwind chamber music (1992-1997) 1980 – 1981 Hong Kong Music Administrator’s Office – Instructor. 1978 – 1980 Hong Kong Baptist College – Adjunct Lecturer in Oboe. Orchestral Employment 1980 – present Grand Teton Music Festival – Oboe and English Horn. An annual seven–week summer festival including weekly orchestral and chamber music performances played by invited musicians from around the world with Music Director Donald Runnicles. I play English horn and oboe in the festival orchestra along with multiple chamber music performances each summer. 2013 was my 30 th anniversary year as a performer at the festival. I performed an estimated 400 concerts over that time. 2005 – 2010 St. Paul Chamber Orchestra – Guest Principal Oboe and English Horn. I have performed with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra on oboe, oboe d’amore, and English horn, often in the same concert. 2–6 concerts each year.
