The General Method 10/30/18 3 Solve for unknowns in a circuit 1.Identify and label nodes, branch currents, element voltages and UNKNOWNS! 2.Define (or assume) directions for voltage drops and currents 3. Write IV relationships for elements (Element Constraint Laws) For Example: Ohm’s Law 4. Write KVL and KCL equations (Connection Constraint Laws) Write KCL for nodes If there are n nodes, there will be (n-1) independent KCL equations Write KVL for loops If there are m essential loops, there will be m independent KVL equations 5. SOLVE for UNKNOWNS!

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
