You would never see Charon if you loved on the away side of Pluto 6. For two binary bodies around the same size to collide there would have to many them because usually objects of this size can’t clear their debris, but if these objects are a part of the debris it would be easier for them to collide or come close enough to each other in the amount of time it took place. 7. The orbit of Charon was important because it was the piece they needed to accurately describe the mass of Pluto so it was the key role. The scientist used Kepler’s Third Law to discover the mass of Pluto through Charon. 8. Asteroids, meteoroids, and comets are of special interest to astronomers who want to understand the early history of the solar system because the celestial bodies have changed very little since their creation billions of years ago, unlike dwarf planets or regular planets in space. 9. The asteroids belt is a group of objects orbiting between Mars and Jupiter in circular patterns around the sun. Millions of asteroids in the asteroid belt are less than a kilometer, around 250 have been discovered around 100km long, and only 41 have been discovered over 250km to 300km.
