Yusuf Sharay Evaluation Exhibition 1. Tom Moody, Discs , 1998. 1 Favorite Tom Moody’s painting captures disks in motion. There are 28 disks, there are 2 that are X-Large, 3 that are large, 8 that are medium, 7 that are small, and 8 that are X-Small. Some disks are darker than others, some are larger than others. The disks are lots of circles inside one another. Each disk has its own background color, there are 5 background color which are orange, yellow, light blue, grey, and pink. The background of the disks have shapes, there are triangles, diamonds, octagons, hexagons. Darker shades of black appear in the X-Large, Large, and medium circles. The wider lengths between the circles appear in the X-large and large disks, while the thinner lengths between the circles appear in the medium, small, and X-small disks. Tom Moody is a visual artist, critic and blogger based in New York City. He began his career as a painter, using traditional materials, but became sensitive to the chemicals. Tom Moody used different design strategies such as grouping, lines of sight, and the repetition of colors and shapes. He depicted the disks to express his painting. I like this painting because when I look at the disks it's as if it's hypnotizing me. I chose this painting for my exhibition because it's very simple, but very unique.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
