It’s not always easy for a social worker to terminate a relationship with a client at some point (Kirst-Ashman & Hull, 2018). Termination occur when a client no longer needs services, has exceed the limit of services, and sometimes unexpectedly for no reasons. The ending of a worker-client relationship can always have a negative or positive impact. Two potential Negative impact that a worker-client might feel during the termination phase are fear and sense of loss (Kirst-Ashman & Hull, 2018). As a social worker, I would fear that the client may not take everything he/she has gain from this relationship as their achievement and maintain that to apply in their everyday life/future. I will also feel upset, because they are makingthis complicated for me to do as well. According to Kirst-Ashman & Hull, (2018), client can display a sense4 of loss when the relationship has ended.
