Wounded Warrior2Wounded Warrior ProjectWounded Warrior (WWP) is a non-profit organization, which is located in Jacksonville Florida.The organization which provides free programs and services to address the needs of wounded warriorsand fill the gaps in government care. They serve injured veterans, their families, and caregivers byproviding free mental health and wellness, physical health and wellness, career and benefitscounseling and support for the most severely injured. The demand for their programs and services hasgrown from serving a handful of injured veterans to now helping tens of thousands, and they continueto receive hundreds of new registrations from injured veterans, their families, and caregivers eachmonth. The organization operates as a 501©(3) nonprofit organization. The organization offers avariety of programs that range from Outreach and Engagement, Mental Health Support, Physicalhealth and Wellness, And Financial Assistance, Employment, and Education. The Wounded WarriorProject also offers help in Germany and Puerto Rico. The not for profit organization realizes that everyveteran has a unique challenge and goal, they work with the veterans to find the right steps that areright for each person. (woundedwarriorproject, 2018)Mission and VisionThe wounded warrior mission and vision states as “The mission of Wounded Warrior Project®(WWP) is to honor and empower Wounded Warriors” (Wounded Warrior Project Inc., 2018), whichalso states that the organiztion’s vision statement as”Our vision is to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history”(Wounded Warrior ProjectInc., 2018). The organization has a long-term strategy to foater the most-adjusted, successfulgeneration of wounded warriors in the nation’s history. They aim to accomplish this goal by raisingawareness and enlisting the public’s help with the needs of the many injured service men and womanby providing unique, direct programs tand services that meet their requirements. The organizationreaches out to the service members on a personal level by reaching out to the injured members at all
Wounded Warrior3stages of their recovery. They deliver backpacks to the members at their bedside with information andsupplies for the member that helps them to during one of the toughest time of their life and to helpenhance their experiances as they transit back into their communities.
