Writing A Science Research PaperI have been focused on my group of Hispanic first-grade students and reading. Out of a class of 16 students, 12 of them are Hispanic children. Many of these students did not know any English arriving in Kindergarten. Some of these students did attend preschool with bilingual teachers and aides, and some did not. I have a variety of reading abilities. I have two students who do not know all of their letters and sounds. I have some students that are really good at decoding words and can easily read two, three, and some four-letter words. I hope to find better instructional strategies to help this diverse group of students.Unit PlanSubject Area Number 1Writing – W.1.2 – “Write informative/explanatory texts in which they name a topic, supply some facts about the topic, and provide some sense of closure”.
