Write an essay that evaluates the reasoning of the Supreme Court majority opinion and dissent
in the case of Tinker v. Des Moines. You must decide which argument is stronger and support
your claim with evidence from the text itself. That evidence can take the form of quotes, facts,
summaries, or anything else you can find in the Tinker v. Des Moines case.
Besides making a claim and supporting it with evidence, you should also respond to a
counterclaim. Who might disagree with your opinion and why? How might you provide a rebuttal
to this person's argument?
