Abstract In this lab, the characteristic and function of two sound sensor, electret microphone element and a speaker, will be introduced. First, student will be asked to measure the output the voltage of the circuit corresponding to the several different distances and different angels. Afterward, the frequency response (gain) of both two sensors will be determined by using spectrum analyzer. Data and Results 1. Build the “speaker microphone” circuit shown in Figure 1. Use an LF356 opamp as shown in Fig.1. + - U 1 A L F 3 5 6 3 2 6 1 5 R 1 4 . 7 K R 2 1 M C 2 1 u C 1 1 0 u S P E A K E R V o u t V + V - N C U 1 B 4 7 8 C 4 0 . 1 u C 3 0 . 1 u - 1 5 + 1 5 Figure 1: Speaker as a mic. 2. Test to see if the circuit works by driving another speaker with the small amplifier. Place this speaker close to the microphone element. You should be able to hear the same frequency sound coming from the other speaker. Use the spectrum analyzer to do this. Periodic noise works well for this. See the appendix to set up the spectrum analyzer. Determine if this
