PSY101 Week 5 Discussion 1: Motivation, Emotions, and Health: Stressed Out?The video on stress was amazing just watching it opened my eyes to how much stress plays a major role in our mental, physical and emotional health. I am sure we all try to accomplish so many things at one time as we are a part of a productive society. But we are not realizing the amount of stress we are placing upon ourselves by multitasking. Running households, raising our children, working in our careers and attending school can be very stressful. But let’s face it, these things must be done, and these things alone can be stressful so imagine doing them all at once. We must find ways to destress as to maintain our overall health. I found it truthful where the video suggested that mothers could have a meeting of the minds and discuss or talk about being mothers. I am proof that talking about things that affect me with others who share similar experiences helps a great deal at relieving my stress. I also know the benefits of talk therapy and how beneficial it can be when it comes to relieving stress.
