Week 2: Popular Culture's Perceptions of Sexuality and Aginganother shows that they longed for this very special moment and that they welcomed it withpleasure. The external appearance of their body shows that they have been through changes, but the heartstayed the same. Elderly people have feelings and need love too “sex and affection is animportant and positive part of the lives of the elderly” (Nicolosi A.Bunch J.,2006). Both womanand men begin to change in several different ways when they reach a certain age. The hair, theskin and the physical features all begin to make one look quite different. Private parts also gothrough major changes as well. These changes can cause problems during sexual activity.Sometimes couples maybe less interested in having sex. There are also other things that cancause disfunction and limit intimacy. Certain surgeries, illnesses or medications are just a few.However, this advertisement displays normal affection between to people who are in loveregardless of the situation. “Older people living on their own together generally continue toenjoy their right to have sex” (Gott M. Hinchlift S.,2003). Most older couples that are askedabout sex and intimacy agree that they are still showing each other affection and they are stillhaving intercourse.This is very common in society today.
