Assignment 1  1.)   Understanding Geographic Perspective is important because it can show us the  history of a culture and where it is occurring. By paying attention to this you  can understand the important things that made the people or land thrive.  2.)  The United States was dominated by immigrants from western European countries  as well as African -American Slaves and Native Americans, while Canada was mostly  dominated by the British. Canada is closely connected with Great Britain, they are a  commonwealth country, and they are also a parliamentary system just like Britain.  United States on the other hand developed their own way, a presidential republic.   3.)   -Civil Rights Movement -Acceptance of African Americans -Declining Discrimination of gender, religion, and sexual orientation  4.)  One difference is that Canada is closely connected with Great Britain, they are a
