My Story An average eight pounds, six ounces was my initial weight at birth. Since that day on May 24 th , 1988 I have gained a few pounds, but not only have I grown in size and weight, but I have grown mentally. I have learned to adapt to the ways of life even though they may not be the way I would like for them to be. I have figured out the “system” and am simply along for the long and bumpy ride, working my tail off to achieve the feeling of success. I was born in a small two bedroom, two bath, house with little paint left on the exterior in the small town of Fredericksburg, Texas. After nearly one year of my life my father bought a veterinary practice in the even smaller town Boerne, the place I call home. Boerne is my past. This is where I come from. I attended, with 300 other children, Fabra Elementary for three years. The city had split into two elementary schools so after second grade my companions and I were transferred to Curington Elementary where we finished out primary education through sixth grade. We were now “big kids”. We were “middle schoolers”. During my first year of middle school I figured out the ways of the teachers, I figured out that slacking off made things a lot easier on me. I have pulled every excuse in the book and even created some of my own in order to get out of tests and/or assignments.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
