WIKIPEDIA 5-47. Do you use Wikipedia for your research? Why or why not? Personally, I do not use Wikipedia for my research. I usually avoid Wikipedia for my research given that I have never trusted the content or articles published on that site. Initially, I used to compare sources while doing research and it is at that time that I realized that at times the information that is available at Wikipedia is not reliable. For example, at times you find that peer-reviewed sources and journals provide information that is quite different from what is available at Wikipedia[Ame12]. Hence, it is clear that Wikipedia is an unreliable source of information for research. Another reason as to why I do not use Wikipedia for research is the issue with the authors and the editors. Authors of articles and research on Wikipedia are not reliable or people who have been approved.
