ORGANIZATIONAL SETTING 2 Mission and Values What is odd is Apple’s mission statement not posted on their website. However, Apple’s mission is rooted in its founder’s philosophy. "Man is the creator of change in this world. As such, he should be above systems and structures, and not subordinate to them" (Farfan, 2017). Steve Jobs saw himself as an agent of change and wanted to empower the everyday consumer to be agents of change as well. “Technology is most powerful when it empowers everyone” (Accessibility). Apple has explicitly declared their values on their page though. Apple subscribes to the following values: Accessibility, Education, Environment, Inclusion and Diversity, Privacy, and Supplier Responsibility. As they develop their products, they aim for their products to empower the consumer to be more accessible to the world through technological advancements. They provide features within their products that assist consumers with vision loss, hearing loss, or physical disabilities to have equal access to information, family and friends, or the general public. Apple is committed to education and has been apart of the ConnectED initiative since 2014, pledging over 100 million dollars to schools in need (ConnectED). They have also donated iPads to students and Mac’s and iPads to teachers. Not only is Apple providing capital and products to schools in need, they also provide their services to ensure their products are being utilized to their fullest capability by in-servicing and IT support. Apple is striving for greater environmental regulation, not by congressional mandates or lobbyist, but rather through example. “To ask less of the planet, we ask more of ourselves” (Environment). Apple’s organizational goals is to power all their facilities 100% by renewable energy, innovative recycling, and safe product’s for consumers and the environment.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
