Hoffer, William James Hull. "Plessy V. Ferguson: The Effects Of Lawyering On A Challenge To Jim Crow." Journal Of Supreme Court History39.1 (2014): 1-21. America: History and Life with Full Text. Web. 9 Oct. 2016.Professor Hoffer has a Ph.D. at Johns Hopkins University, a J.D. at Harvard University Law School, and B.A. at Rutgers University, He teaches a number of subjects including legal, economic and military history all with a view towards understanding how governments change and are affected by change with a focus on the United States. He brings this perspective to his research as well, which concentrates on politicaland legal history in the modern U.S. though future projects will look earlier. He believes that universities are the greatest contributors to human advancement and am very pleased to be a small part of that effort.
