Group Consensus Report 2 Question 1: Describe Yourself The overall group response related to question one seems to be similar in that everyone has been involved in some type of group work and knows what to expect regarding the challenges and expectations. Sharing progress, calling out good behaviors, asking for honest feedback concerning schedules, and practicing good communication are keys to a successful project. It is important to get the group on the right track in these areas as soon as possible and then the project should be off to a smooth start. Each person has a unique way of dealing with stress that will most likely be used during this course since each group member has outside jobs, families, and responsibilities to tend too. There are also different personalities within the group ranging from being more introverted all the way to out-going. These personalities will help round the group out more and provide different perspectives and opinions on topics related to the project. As Henry Ford said, “Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success” (Andersen, 2013). Question 2: Communication When it comes to teamwork, effective communication is the key to success. Members are encouraged to check discussion forums and emails daily and reply within 24-48 hours. It is understood that we all have different schedules and commitments outside of school that may interfere with the time we are available online. With that said, we will limit our methods of communication to discussion boards, online chats, and student emails. If members so desire, the Blackboard phone application is available to download for quick and easy access to the course and forums. We understand that unforeseen events may occur, and it is the member’s responsibility to communicate to the group if these circumstances will prevent them from turning in their required work by the set date and time. As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
