Communist beliefs see Capitalism as the source of inequality and suffering. Communism controls both political systems and economic systems.2.Why were the US and USSR embroiled in a Cold War?The US and USSR were embroiled in a Cold War because of their competing political and economic systems. The USSR believed their ideology of Communism was superior while the US believed their Capitalist system was superior. Both sides sought to make their political and economic system the prevailing ideology throughout the world. This feud led to many scares, conflicts, and wars between the two nations.3.What was America's containment policy? Why was it considered the best way to deal with the Communist threat?
America’s containment policy was a way to stop the spread of Communism across the globe. Due to the postwar agreements made between the two nations, little could be done by the US to affect Eastern Europe. Instead they focused on the rest of the world by trying to contain Communism as well as they could and making sure the ideology would not spread and prevail passed the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe.
