Human Rights Human Rights Reflection As stated in Article 2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, “Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty (United Nations).. These rights are often guaranteed by law in the structure of general principles and treaties. Human rights are undividable and co-dependent whether they are economic/social rights, civil/political rights or collective rights. With being co-dependent, if an improvement is made to one right it will assist in the advancement of others and vice versa a deficit in one will cause an adverse effect on the others.
