Questions Middle School with the Contempo-Cog School System is aspiring to bring about curriculum changes in the education of their fourth- through eighth- grade students. The teachers believe that the student’s learning abilities and techniques are not a “one size fits all,” rather that each student learns in his or her own manner. By adapting a new learning curriculum that addresses more than one style of learning, students will be better prepared for their upcoming endeavors in high school. Additionally, new learning curriculum will help the students to gain greater cognitive and language proficiency. Principle Solver, at Questions Middle School brought together a group of speakers to advise the teachers of how to revise the current curriculum to best foster higher thinking levels. Drs. Case, Fischer, Bruner, and Elkind gathered before the staff at Questions Middle School to address any questions on the student’s educational needs that they may have. Dr. Case, a professor from Stanford University, explored how exactly children’s minds develop. He explained that executive control structures are wait aids in development.
