Topic: Unemployment of undergraduate students. According to the Business Dictionary, unemployment means total number of able men and women of working age seeking for paid work. In the article written by Zunaira (2015) who is the assistant of Star Media Group, she proposed that unemployment refers to people who are eager to work but jobless. Recently, one of the controversial issues that trigger world’s concerns is the rising of unemployed graduates especially in our country; Malaysia. Statistic Department (2015) states that the unemployment rate in January which was 3.1% had increased to 0.1% to 3.2% in February. The Finance Ministry (2011) also reported that among 308, 371 job seekers, 90.1 per cent of them who had registered with the Human Resource Department are youths between the ages of 15 to 29 years old. Abdul (2015) indicates that 161, 000 undergraduates between the ages of 20 to 24 are still jobless. In this globalization era, the undergraduates are a part of the human capital resources. This is because they are full of potential and competitive which are important criterias in determining the achievement of an organization or a country. Without qualified human capital resources, a country becomes powerless as the shortage of human factor will affect the improvement of socioeconomic activities. However, it is not an easy task for Malaysia to produce comprehensive and world class level of labour force. Unemployment among undergraduate students will negatively affect the economic growth in Malaysia because Malaysian graduates are not capable to compete and give a full commitment in preparing themselves in facing the globalization and k-economy era, foreign workers will conquer the local market, and if the youths remain jobless, it will be risky to the country’s future. First and foremost, unemployment of undergraduates will give a huge impact on the economic growth as they are not capbable to compete and give a full commitment in preparing themselves in facing the globalization and k-economy era. According to the Education Ministry Official, Azlan (2013), he has found that graduates are either jobless or mismatched in the fields that do not commensurate with what they have studied.
