AH 145 HISTORY OF THE DECORATIVE ARTS: EUROPEAN HERITAGE Final Examination, December 2007 For each of the following eight slides of decorative art objects, you are (1) to give a complete identification (see model) and (2) to defend your attributions of culture and period style in a paragraph essay. In this essay you are to make it clear to the reader just exactly why you are able to identify and attribute the object which is on the screen in the manner that you have listed. You should not simply describe the object; descriptive features should be mentioned only when you are going to explain their significance. In this essay you should also endeavor to suggest the material cultural significance of the object within its time period and place. Each answer need be no longer than two pages.
