LEADERSHIP 2 Leadership When Mandela was elected his country was divided by apartheid rule. At this time there was a lot of antagonism, fear, and distrust in the land. He was faced with all these challenges and wanted to overcome them and bring countrywide unity and resolution in the nation. For him to attain his goals he had to come up with strategies and goals to help him accomplish unity. Some strategies that were used by him included education and communication, participation and involvement, facilitation and support the details of these intervention strategies are seen being applied by Mandela in assisting him to attain reunion in the nation. The identified intervention methods are discussed below, (Zohar, 2014). The use of education and communication: this leadership intervention strategy is normally used where there is lack of, inadequate and inaccurate information available to the people on the ground. This is one of the intervention strategies that have been used in the past and have proved to be very effective. This strategy has got some advantages and disadvantages. the advantage is that once the people have been taught and the knowledge is imparted on them they will always help in implementing the changes needed. Its disadvantage is that the method consumes a lot of time if the teaching process involves a large number of people. (Moya, 2017).

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
