Edgar Castillo 11/6/18 English 101 Professor Montilli Animal Welfare or Animal Rights Animals throughout the years have been just living things that wonder in our world. People may have animals as pets or even sadly in this world, we humans since we are carnivores, we kill animals to have a surplus of food. There has been a discussion whether animal welfare is right in this world because people have been paying more attention to animals when humans are suffering all over the world, while other think that animals have rights. Animal rights and animal welfare do have their similarities and differences on things such as food production or having animals as entertainment, but both have different ideas on the same topic let's say. Animal rights is about giving animals rights keeping us, humans, using them as experiments, hunting them or other human services. Animal welfare is how the animal is being treated and the state of the animal such as their mental state and physical state. Animals have been put into different situation that may or may not harm them. Most of the time we humans don't even realize what we are doing in general and imagine what we are doing to animals, putting them into experiment on preventing a disease which is beneficial to us but how many animals would it take to discover the “antidote”?
