Jonathan is a sales manager which also means that he is a tactical manager who is responsible for implementing the directives of strategic managers. The problem in this scenario is about one of Jonathan’s salespersons (Suzy) had a fight with a client and he had to make a decision about this case. Jonathan will need to understand the cause of problem in order to report his decision to his boss. The first possible reasons that could have caused this problem is the lack of knowledge about the background of client. This could cause a fight because Suzy might not prepare herself enough to the meeting or to meet the client’s need. Client could be triggered as Suzy failed to show seriousness during the sales meeting. For example, Suzy might address the client wrongly during the meeting or introduce the unsuitable product.
