How were we put upon this Earth? What happens after we go through physical death? Are we nothing more than a memory or are we granted eternal life after death? If God does exist why is there an excessive amount of anguish, sorrow, and suffering these days? To this day, Christianity is the largest religious group that exists in our world. There are over 2.4 billion Christian members of this religion; it makes up 33% of the world population (Hackett, & McClendon, 2017). This essay will prove that with a belief in God the Father, an understanding and compassion for humanity, and forgiveness of sins from Jesus that Christians can be redeemed and rewarded with eternal life. GodGod is where creation and the world as we know if started in the Christian world view. “Inthe beginning, God created the Heavens and Earth” (Genesis 1:1). God is “larger” than a simple description of words on a page. To fully understand God and all his being seems impossible according to the Christian worldview. God created all of this from his own vision and predicted plan. God performed these selfless miracles in just six days. He created the essentials for all living creatures and beings here on Earth (“Lecture 2”, 2018). Therefore, God is known as the AlmightySovereign Creator. God selflessly gave us his only begotten son. He put Jesus Christ here on 1
Earth to spread the teachings and immense love he has for all his Earthly children. God invites everyone to speak to him, to lean on him daily, and to pour our worries into his hands. “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth” (Psalms 145:18). God’s nature is pure and filled with an over flowing amount of unconditional love for all who come to believe in him. Most Christians will tell you it is impossible to describe God’s characteristics because God himself is flawless. God is merciful and full of an abundant amount of grace. God within himself displays righteousness, glory, trustworthiness, kindness, compassion, undying love, and unbreakable faith. Christians agree, which is best described in Genesis 1-2 that God created the universe and everything that exists by an act of his Godly will and commands (Genesis 1-2)And God said, 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness … so God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him. He created them male and female” (Gen. 1:26-27). In the Bible it says that humanity is the “pinnacle of creation”. God created us with a defined purpose with humanity. Humanity is exclusive among all God’s creations, having both a material body and an immaterial spirit (Hoekema, 1986).
